Nannette is a Dutch national, with an MA degree from the University of Amsterdam in European Studies. Having worked for 7 years at the European Commission in the area of mobility of workers, she is knowledgeable of its complicated legal framework and the technicalities around building a Europe-wide database for vacancy exchange and career mobility. Her own experiences, working on a project-base in 17 EU countries, have helped in creating an insight into the practicalities of working across borders. As ELM’s founder and director, she aims at making mobility work. Her role towards corporate clients, universities and international mobile expats and graduates is helping organisations and individuals to become part of the global workplace.

Intercultural Trainer and Careers Advisor
Sevasti was born in Athens, Greece. She holds a BA in Communication & Media from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and MA in Media, Culture & Society with the Erasmus University Rotterdam. After graduation, she moved to Brussels to work in communications for an international non-profit organisation. Her experiences in international and cross-cultural environments sparked her interest for intercultural communication and cultural diversity in the workplace. Her role in ELM mainly revolves around career coaching, social media and intercultural training. Sevi is our “Queen of CV Checks” as on average she reviews more than 150 CVs a year!

Sales Assistant and Alumni Relations Coordinator
Rita is a Vietnamese national who has been living in Rotterdam for three years. She is currently studying in Erasmus University Rotterdam, majoring in International Business Administration. Having worked actively in an international student organization for a year, Rita realized that she would like to develop her career in an international environment, with a possibility to travel from place to place. Within the ELM team, she is responsible for sales activities and alumni support for the career platform CareerProfessor.works. Rita is keen to explore various cultures around the world, so she might go travelling regularly.

Intercultural Researcher and Content Strategist
Emma is a Dutch national who is currently finalizing her Bachelor Degree in European Studies at The Hague University. She has spent a semester in France, learning to master the French language. Working in various multicultural settings has sparked her interest in working in an international environment. Emma’s research interest lies in labour market ecosystems and effective collaboration between key players. Travelling the world is her favourite thing to do.

Graphical Designer & Photographer
Kim is Dutch with Vietnamese roots. She is a published photographer and an experienced graphical designer who has studied Industrial Design Engineering (Bachelor) and Design for Interaction (Master) at the Technical University of Delft. Kim has also had a year of Psychology at Erasmus University of Rotterdam which has added to her understanding of interactive design. Her photography focuses on colour, composition and calmness while Kim describes her designs as clean, geometric and minimalistic.

Guilty pleasure: Eating ice cream wherever and whenever possible.
If I was a superhero, I would be: Batman, continuously switching between a ‘normal’ human being, anonymous helper and an animal hiding in a cave.
Favourite procrastination activity: Going out for breakfast, lunch or dinner. However, I also see it as an activity of fulfilling my primary and secondary needs.
Useless talent: Excellent in-depth analysis of a situation followed by not doing anything about that situation.
Marketing and Social Media Assistant
Monika is originally from a small town in Lithuania, but considers herself an international who has lived in London for more than 5 years and has recently moved to the Netherlands. She holds an BA degree in Marketing from London Metropolitan University and an MSc degree in Marketing from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. After graduation, she started volunteering as a Social Media assistant at an English radio programme in The Hague. Due to her upbringing, Monika is keen to work in an international environment and be actively involved in her local international community. Her role within ELM is to support the marketing activities of the CareerProfessor.works platform.

Anna Sijbrands is a Dutch national fond of cultural diversity. This might be due to the fact that she went to a bilingual kindergarten which sparked an interest in different cultures and languages. Despite her age she has travelled extensively and her favourite place on earth is Perth (next to Amsterdam, New York, San Francisco, London, Rome, Shanghai and Paris …). She is keen to develop artistically and attends the Libanon Technasium to learn more about the development of design. Her role within the ELM team is focussed on graphical design.

Heidi is a German national who studied Business Administration with focus on human resources and educational management. After her study she worked in HR departments of several companies for eight years. During this period she saw what´s necessary for international applicants to be successful and what pitfalls they encounter. In 2012, she founded Push Your Career, a career consultancy with a focus on international experts, wanting to work in Germany. She provides career advice and gives workshops about applying and working in Germany for foreign nationals. During 2014, she took part in the European Commission project Erasmus for young entrepreneurs for which ELM acted as a host entrepreneur.
Xinrui is a Chinese national who is studying International Bachelor Communication and Media at Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam. After she finished her high school, she chose to have a gap year, travelling around China with a group of American students and also joined an International Summer Camp in China. Amy was a valuable addition to ELM team as an intern in 2014 and continues to provide us with her insights into the Chinese culture.
Guillaume Gevrey Is a French national but qualifies as a true “Global Nomad” having worked and lived in the United States, Canada, the UK, Portugal and Ireland. Since 2003, Guillaume has developed his practice in India, focussing on cross-cultural communication and management training, virtual communication, and multicultural team performance between Indians and ‘the rest of the world’. Guillaume is director of Concept 2 Competence Training & Consulting and ELM’s linking pin in India. Together with Melanie Martinelli, Guillaume ensures your projects in India are utilized to the max and Indian expats in Europe/European expats in India can hit the ground running.
Melanie Martinelli received her masters degree in International Business Management through conducted in Germany, France and Switzerland. Her thesis “Managing Cultural Differences – A Key To Successful Offshore Collaboration” was awarded the Prix Bartholdi and won her a position at Aztecsoft Limited, a Bangalore-based offshore product engineering company. After a three years in International Sales and Account Management, Melanie moved to training and development and worked with different organisations. Today she is widely respected as a cross-cultural consultant. For ELM she serves as an international consultant, providing presentations at several corporate and academic institutions worldwide.
Sharjeel Moutier heads ELM’s Dubai office. Sharjeel is an experienced intercultural trainer & consultant. He is a French national, tri cultural person with Indian roots & origins, brought up in the Middle East Gulf and with extensive international experience of living and working in more than 10 countries worldwide including more than 20 years of living and working in Middle East Gulf. His expertise is in delivering cultural training programmes for senior management to prepare them for them for doing successful business in the Middle East Gulf region.

Mechteld van Koeverden Brouwer is our representative in Hong Kong. Mechteld is a Dutch citizen and an experienced expat, who has studied and worked in 7 countries. After having worked as a qualified employment lawyer in Amsterdam and London, and a compensation consultant in Sydney, Australia, she founded A2Z- Human Resources, www.a2z-hr.com, in Hong Kong, a boutique consultancy assisting individuals and companies relocating to Hong Kong. A2Z- HR also provides various in-company or individual workshops on time management, work-life balance, networking, career coaching, cultural awareness for relocation training etc.
