Wytske Siegersma
International Projects Coordinator
Wytske is a Dutch national with an MA degree from the University of Groningen in Roman Cultures and Languages with an emphasis on Spanish speaking countries. She has also studied at the Faculty of Politics at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Thereafter she went to Ecuador to gain working experience at the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Quito by doing a research internship at the Cultural Department. At ELM Wytske is our International Projects Coordinator and has a sales role regarding Corporate Clients. As our ‘spider in the web,’ she allocates the resources within the ELM team to the various projects. Moreover, she acts as editor and writer for many of the ELM articles on studying and doing business abroad.

Archie Pollock
Cultural Projects Coordinator
Archie is a British national, and completed his bachelor degree at the University of the West of Scotland, in the field of Politics & Sociology. He also studied in Denmark, and thereafter moved to the Netherlands seeking to expand his horizons and experiences. After completing his Masters Degree in International Public Management at the Erasmus University Rotterdam, Archie undertook an internship at ELM, before taking on a full time role as Country Specialist within the team. His main interests lie in the socio-professional differences in countries, and the interesting effect this has on international dealings. Archie is also a writer/editor and contributor to various ELM publications.

Lotte Edelkoort
Corporate HRM Projects Coordinator
Lotte is a Dutch national and has a double MA degree in both Intercultural Communication and Strategic Human Resource Management from the University of Utrecht. During recent years Lotte has spent time abroad in Rome, Sheffield and Lugano, making her more aware of the needs and concerns of world citizens at work abroad.
At Expertise in Labour Mobility, Lotte coordinates Corporate HRM Projects, which puts her in close contact with ELM’s corporate HR clients. Her role involves producing Expat magazines, such as the “moving abroad” magazine for Philips, which ELM produced from concept to end product. In the Expat magazines, Lotte can use both her interest in cultural differences as well as her knowledge of international HRM. Moreover, she organises the International Mobility Group lunch meetings, providing food for thought for international HR managers.

Joseph Cavanna
Researcher, Writer & Editor
Joseph is a Spanish national born in Sydney, Australia. After living 5 years in Australia and 6 in Spain, he moved with his family to the Netherlands where he has been living ever since. He has completed a BA in Political Science at the University of Leiden, where he currently follows the master programme of the same discipline. His main interests lie in the fields of international politics and western political philosophy. Joseph is currently involved in ELM’s marketing strategy, writing and editing several ELM publications, as well as other ELM projects, in which he takes on a supportive role.

Nannette Ripmeester
Founder & Director
Nannette is a Dutch national, with an MA degree from the University of Amsterdam in European Studies. Having worked for 7 years at the European Commission in the area of mobility of workers, she is knowledgeable of its complicated legal framework. Her own experiences, working on a project-base in 17 EU countries, have helped in creating an insight into the practicalities of working across borders. As ELM’s founder and director, she aims at making mobility work. Her role towards corporate clients, universities and international mobile expats and graduates is helping organisations and individuals to become part of the global workplace.

Melanie Martinelli
International Correspondent
Melanie Martinelli received her masters degree in International Business Management through conducted in Germany, France and Switzerland. Her thesis “Managing Cultural Differences – A Key To Successful Offshore Collaboration” was awarded the Prix Bartholdi and won her a position at Aztecsoft Limited, a Bangalore-based offshore product engineering company. After a three years in International Sales and Account Management, Melanie moved to training and development and worked with different organisations. Today she is widely respected as a cross-cultural consultant. For ELM she serves as an international consultant, providing presentations at several corporate and academic institutions worldwide.
Sharjeel Moutier

Sharjeel Moutier heads ELM’s Dubai office. Sharjeel is an experienced intercultural trainer & consultant. He is a French national, tri cultural person with Indian roots & origins, brought up in the Middle East Gulf and with extensive international experience of living and working in more than 10 countries worldwide including more than 20 years of living and working in Middle East Gulf. His expertise is in delivering cultural training programmes for senior management to prepare them for them for doing successful business in the Middle East Gulf region.
Mechteld van Koeverden Brouwer

Mechteld van Koeverden Brouwer is our representative in Hong Kong. Mechteld is a Dutch citizen and an experienced expat, who has studied and worked in 7 countries. After having worked as a qualified employment lawyer in Amsterdam and London, and a compensation consultant in Sydney, Australia, she founded A2Z- Human Resources, www.a2z-hr.com, in Hong Kong, a boutique consultancy assisting individuals and companies relocating to Hong Kong. A2Z- HR also provides various in-company or individual workshops on time management, work-life balance, networking, career coaching, cultural awareness for relocation training etc.
Guillaume Gevrey

Guillaume Gevrey Is a French national but qualifies as a true “Global Nomad” having worked and lived in the United States, Canada, the UK, Portugal and Ireland. Since 2003, Guillaume has developed his practice in India, focussing on cross-cultural communication and management training, virtual communication, and multicultural team performance between Indians and ‘the rest of the world’. Guillaume is director of Concept 2 Competence Training & Consulting and ELM’s linking pin in India. Together with Melanie Martinelli, Guillaume ensures your projects in India are utilized to the max and Indian expats in Europe/European expats in India can hit the ground running.
