Want to become part of incredible India?
It is difficult to refer to India, when instead we are referring to a lot of 'countries' (regions) and people. Religion plays an important role in this.
Approximately 80.5 percent of the population is Hindu, followed by 13.4 percent Muslims, 2.3 percent Christians, 1.9 percent Sikhs and 0.8 percent Buddhists. And then we did not even mention all!
Maybe because of all this diversity, Indians have a high need of structuring relationships, be it personal or professional. They are keen on hierarchy and most companies have a vertical management culture. Self-reliance and self-initiative do not come natural in India, due to the hierarchically structured decision making process.

Do not underestimate these national differences, and in case of India: the regional differences! What is common in one, might be very unusual in another country.
