Expertise in Labour Mobility (ELM) is a knowledge provider on international work issues. We provide advice and training on working across borders and between cultures. However, ELM is neither a search and selection company nor a relocation expert, we are a true knowledge based research & training institution. ELM has an international network of country experts, who are able to perform local labour market research in over 40 countries. ELM's tools and services facilitate both organisations and individuals to become an integral part of the global workplace.
ELM provides this information to both businesses and individuals through several services:
In 2002, the company celebrated its 10-year anniversary. Managing Director
Nannette Ripmeester, who founded ELM in April 1992, is an internationally acclaimed
expert on making a success of working abroad. She started her international
career at the European Commission in Brussels and worked subsequently in 17
countries on a project basis. Nannette Ripmeester is now member of Team
Europe, a team of expert speakers who do lectures for professional audiences
on all sorts of issues concerning the EU. Ripmeester's drive for making international
labour mobility as simple as possible has spread throughout the ELM network.
Now ELM works for several multinational
companies, runs the International Student Barometer for i-graduate in Western
Europe and does consultancy assignments for the national governments of Ireland,
the Netherlands, Belgium and Finland. ELM's highly praised series of guides
"Looking for work in …" covers job-hunting practices and cultural
management differences in over 40 countries.
Our series of Looking for work in ... guides is just one tool.
A donation for each guide sold is made to Save the Children, to improve the well being of children around the world.
