Expertise in Labour Mobility (ELM) has a set of career guides describing the main routes to international jobs and employment in over 40 countries. The employment guides are designed to help graduates, (young) professionals and expats make the first successful steps into the job market of the country of their choice. Each guide tells the reader how to look for a job in a particular country and what cultural management differences they come across in that country.

Additionally, the career guides include information on how to compile CVs and application letters in different countries. Next to this, the career guides feature interviews with people who are working in that particular country, to provide readers a different insight to jobs overseas and moving and working abroad.

The idea for the guides originated during a research project on international job application procedures, which ELM executed for the European Commission. Next, ELM has expanded the careers research and in cooperation with an international network of experts has gathered the employment information used in the career books.

Each guide is researched and written with the help of native people and country experts, thus securing the accuracy of the international job hunting information presented.

At this moment the series holds the following countries:
International organisations

*These countries have been combined under the title 'Looking for work in the 10 EU Accession Countries': Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Hungary, Malta, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia. ** The guide 'Looking for work in Eastern Europe' combines the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Romania. *** The poland guide is also available as a seperate guide. Each guide costs 19.95 Euro excluding postage. The guides are for personal use only and protected by copyright legislation. It is also possible to order these guides by bulk. For large orders different prices apply.
