DESCRIPTION:A (virtual) high-intensity workshop of two full days tailored to Dutch PhD candidates will provide participants with the necessary tools and tips to understand their career values and identify future career paths based on their interests and skills. \nParticipants will have the opportunity to create their own action plan for their next career step. Most importantly\, they will be able to act on that action plan and take their career towards the next level\, either within academia or beyond. Delegates will feel empowered to look for work in their research field\, inside and outside of the Netherlands. \nThe two-day workshops are part of Loopbaanmanagement voor Promovendi. \nAt the end of the workshop\, all participants will: \n\nHave a clear picture of their main career values\nIdentify their strong personal & professional traits\nKnow how to ‘manage their reputation’ effectively\nFeel more empowered to create a better fit between career decisions & personal goals\nGain a better understanding of what career options & opportunities they have with their PhD degree in academia\, the corporate and/or the not-for-profit sector\nUnderstand the differences in a research and professional job applications as well as get some of the basics regarding tailoring their job search to a specific work culture\nHave improved their CV\, their LinkedIn profile\, their elevator pitch and their interview skills\nComprehend the cultural differences that accompany looking for work across the globe\n\nCourse Language: Dutch
