DESCRIPTION:Join Dr. Kevin Vaughn\, Prof. Lisa Miller\, Arq. Verónica Agreda de Pazos\, Kate Moore (moderator) & Nannette Ripmeester for their CAEI session about “Preparing Students Now: Frameworks and Applied Learning for International Education” on November 8th\, 2023 at 1:00 – 2:00 PM. \nThis Expert Panel will look at the ways that higher education institutions from different regions of the world are preparing their students for their future employability. Looking at different program models and strategic collaborations\, the panelists will provide insights on how best to enhance intercultural competencies and demonstrate practical skills. Looking at diverse contexts\, participants will have an opportunity to explore the different challenges and opportunities emerging from the implementation of innovative models and find recommendations to support future growth in a way that is responsive to evolving demands and trends of the global workplace. \nThe Conference of the Americas on International Education (CAIE) has established itself as the main forum dedicated to international higher education in the Americas. In keeping with its mandate\, CAEI offers a platform where all participants can engage in a broad conversation about higher education in the hemisphere and build networks and strategic alliances at the bilateral\, regional\, or multilateral levels. \nThis conference\, held  in Las Vegas Nevada USA\, will address this year’s main theme\, “The Future is Now!” from diverse angles to give participants a local\, national\, and regional perspective on the various issues facing the various actors and stakeholders involved in higher education and internationalization throughout the Americas; an opportunity to share insights on the various trends\, challenges\, opportunities\, and their foreseeable outcomes.
