Morial Convention Centre. \nThe NAFSA Annual Conference & Expo\, scheduled on May 28-31 2024\, will focus on the most diverse learning\, engagement\, and networking opportunities for international education professionals at all levels of experience and in every specialty. These opportunities will help develop the knowledge\, skills\, and ideas needed to better serve an organization or institution\, move forward in professional development\, and engage effectively with colleagues from around the globe. \nPoster Abstract: On The Move: Exploring The Impact Of Mobility On Career Opportunities \nIn an increasingly globalised world\, the importance of international mobility experiences seems obvious. This poster is about a GSO Innovation Fund project\, the Canadian equivalent of Erasmus+\, which seeks to shed light on a pivotal question: Do employers value international mobility and what’s the effect on the student’s career opportunities? \nLearning Objectives \n\n Assess the impact of international mobility experiences on students’ employability.\nIdentify the key skills and competencies valued by employers when hiring graduates with international mobility experience.\nUnderstand what employers deem important when assessing a candidate.\nPromote a holistic understanding of employability outcomes by involving employers as vital stakeholders in the discussion.\n\nMore Information can be found here.
