Martin Tillman is a nationally recognized expert, author and thought leader in the United States. As President of Global Career Compass, an international consulting practice, his work is focused on the linkage of education abroad experiences to student career development and employability.  Previously, he was Associate Director of Career Services at the Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, D.C. In his distinguished career as an international educator, he has held senior leadership positions with pioneering international education programs.  Among his many publications, in 2015, he co-authored a chapter, “Higher Education and the Employability Agenda,” in the Palgrave Handbook of Higher Education Policy and Governance.  Marty’s blog, Global Career Compass, https://globalcareercompass.wordpress.com/about/, is read in more than 90 nations.

Katie Orr is the International Director at the Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC), a 13 campus publicly funded comprehensive applied learning college in Nova Scotia, Canada. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE) and is Chair of the Operations Committee of Edunova, the consortium of ten universities, NSCC, K-12 and private language schools engaged in international education in Nova Scotia. Edunova is leading the award-winning “Study and Stay in Nova Scotia” program which is increasing the number of international students staying and working in Nova Scotia after graduation.

Jérôme Rickmann has been working in international higher education for about 11 years. He currently serves as Director International Talent Acquisition & Project Development at EBC Hochschule – a multi-campus business school based in Germany. In this position, he functions as Project Lead for the 2015 newly formed “European Centre for Career Development & Entrepreneurship” – a transnational career service consortium involving Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Universidad Autonóma de Madrid, Regent’s University London, Paris School of Business and EBC Hochschule. He served for four years as Head of Career Services at the EBC’s Berlin Campus. Prior work engagements include e.g. Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, where he managed the ERASMUS-programme and internship administration on a departmental level or Linköping University as German Programme Manager for a language and internship programme running in Berlin.

Jérôme is especially interested in higher education management, internationalisation and scaling processes in the careers field.

Nannette Ripmeester is Director of Expertise in Labour Mobility, Client Services Director Europe for i-graduate and founder of the educational gamification app CareerProfessor.works. Nannette is part of the NAFSA Trainer Corps and Advisory Board Member of Codarts University. She frequently presents on employability, graduate outcomes and cultural differences across the globe. With over 25 years of experience working for large corporate clients and higher education institutions across the globe, she understands what makes people internationally employable. Nannette holds an MA from the University of Amsterdam.
