INTERVIEW | How one Finnish university is leading the world in student satisfaction

i-graduate’s Mat Kirby and Nannette Ripmeester spoke with Toni Kaila, Specialist for International Affairs at Aalto University, to see how their institution is leveraging data from the Student Barometer and acting on student input to set the standard for student happiness and recommendation.

Aalto institution, founded in 2010, is a brand-new hybrid institution in Finland that combines the study of business, technology, and art & design. Aalto has one of the largest international populations in Finland and is the 47th most international university in the world (The Times HE rankings 2023), with international students making up about 15% of the student body.
