In April 2025, “The Employer Toolkit: A Practical Guide for Employers on Recruitment, Support, and Evaluation” authored by Expertise in Labour Mobility’s Nannette Ripmeester and Melanie Siegfried, was published on the DETAS website.

This Employer Toolkit is specifically designed for employers hosting (Erasmus+) interns and trainees,
offering structured guidance and resources to enhance every stage of the work placement experience, from recruitment to evaluation. Built on comprehensive research and analysis taken from an employer survey with 265 respondents, as well as academic research on the current landscape of internships and traineeships, including a framework for quality standards. The toolkit provides practical steps and support materials to help companies create a positive and impactful experience for international trainees.
