ERASMUS CAREERS | Committee Meeting

After the successful celebration of #ELM30, Expertise in Labour Mobility (ELM) went right back to work and organized a commitee meeting with the ErasmusCareers team to discuss about the ErasmusCareers Project. But, what does the project entail?

The 3-year project is a collaborative cross-European partnership between Erasmus Student Network (ESN)Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH)Lifelong Learning Platform (LLLP)Tilburg University (TiU), and Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM), part of ERASMUS+. And ELM is also a part of this project. The aim of this project is to “unpack” what international students have gained during their time abroad. 

This Commitee Meeting was intended to discuss about the necessary goals and deliverables for a successful project. These deliverables include conducting a variety of activities , such as outlining learning paths for students, doing research about the employability of international graduates, creating a competence framework for Erasmus students, next to our (insightful & fun) partner meetings and a final conference in Brussels. In short, these are some of the things that the ErasmusCareers team will be working on in order to achieve the following objectives: 

  • Competences gained by students and trainees during their mobility abroad are identified.
  • A better understanding of the learning that takes place during the International Student Lifecycle.
  • The competencies gained by students during mobility are better understood and recognised by employers.
  • Students understand the impact of international student mobility on their career path.
  • Competences gained abroad are recognised and integrated with Education policies.
